This year the Aix-en-Provence Christmas Market is celebrating its 20th birthday! The Cours Mirabeau will be home to around 50 carefully selected artisan producers and stands. Mulled wine as well as all kinds of delicious treats will be available for you to indulge yourself whilst sharing a moment of enjoyment with your friends and family.
At Quai de la Fraternité, on the Old Harbor, over 30 artisans and around 40 chalets will be presenting their goods and placing the spotlight on the Marseille savoir-faire with a selection of local and traditional produce: soaps, jewelry, glassware, biscuits, decoration, ceramics, paintings, candles, fabrics, leather, chocolate and wooden toys… Just a few steps from the main market you will find the town’s traditional market of nativity figurines!
The nativity figurine and ceramic artisans of the Aubagne and Étoile region will be present at the Cours Foch during the town’s nativity figurine market. Each year the nativity figurine market is accompanied by a large and very beautiful panoramic nativity creche. The event is a must for those wanting to experience a true taste of authentic Provencal traditions!
One of the most highly anticipated events for Provence locals is the Christmas market at the Farm. With its exceptional premises, this educational farm is opening its doors for two days of Christmas festivities and activities. The event comprises of a wide range of activities for children and adults alike as well as a fantastic market selling artisan produce!
This is without a doubt Provence’s most unique Christmas market. On the 11 December in Jouques, you will get the opportunity to meet with artisans and producers and see their handmade, original, sustainable and environmentally responsible produce. Each year over 50 renowned artisans, producers and artists are present and ready to welcome you in a warm and friendly environment.
At the Place de l'Escalet on the Old Harbor, around 20 chalets offering local, artisan creations will be present for a magical lead up to Christmas 2022! There will be gastronomy stands and several food trucks offering delicious treats such as crepes, waffles and mulled wine. You’ll also be treated to a whole host of parades and concerts as well as a firework display and shows! The Provence Christmas markets are a great opportunity to try out local specialities and produce from the ‘terroir’ such as the wines from Domaine de Gassier.
