Discover the 2023 summer programme of events at Château Gassier!
Nestling at the foot of Mount Saint-Victoire, Château Gassier is a wine estate of 40 hectares that has been farmed organically since 2016. This summer the team at Château Gassier has prepared a rich and varied programme of open-air events for you, including stand-up comedy, rosé brunches, concerts, and much, much more …so get ready for a unique experience! Read on for all the details and don’t forget to note the dates in your diary!
The Gassier Comedy Club
For the very first time Château Gassier is hosting stand-up comedy routines in the vineyard. Over an hour and a half, you can share a relaxed evening of entertainment and humour offered by local and international comedians. Comfortably installed in a lounger, you can sip a glass of Château Gassier rosé or white and take in the fabulous view over the local landscape. Shows will be held on the 15th June, 2nd August and 30th August starting at 20.30. Tickets are 25€ for adults and 10€ for children for the first and fourth dates, and 20€ for adults and 10€ for children for the second and third dates.
Our Rosé Brunches
On two Sundays in the summer visitors can enjoy a food/wine pairing brunch in the vines, with the rosés from the estate. You can chill out on a patio lounger, enjoy some music and savour delicacies such as vanilla madeleines with lavender honey, or a ham and truffle butter croissant. The price includes the food and a bottle of wine from Château Gassier (50cl or 75cl depending on the number in the group). The brunches will be held on 18th June and 10th September between 11.00 and 15.00. Tickets are 45€ for adults and 16€ for children. On 18th June the brunch is partnering with the crafts market “Aix en Créa”, enabling you to discover over brunch the creations on display on the different stands present at Château Gassier.
Live Concerts
Château Gassier also transforms into an open-air arena proposing musical evenings where you can relax after a long day at work! With a glass of organic wine in hand you can admire the setting sun at the foot of Mount Sainte-Victoire. Live concerts will be held on Tuesdays, on 4th July and 8th August. Tickets are 25€ for adults and 10€ for children.
Star Gazing
At Château Gassier you also have the possibility of discovering the night sky as you have never seen it before. As part of its wine tourism programme, Château Gassier organises special astronomy observation evenings in partnership with professional astronomers of the region. You will be able to discover constellations, planets, and galaxies thanks to powerful telescopes, contemplate the milky way with its billions of stars, and observe mysterious nebulae and star clusters.
Château Gassier is in a protected zone, far from the city lights, which offers a sky of exceptional purity, free of light pollution. At these observation evenings you can learn how to navigate by the stars, understand their movement in the sky, and all about astronomy in general. They take place all through the year, but as places are limited advance booking is recommended. It’s an original and illuminating experience which will delight amateur astronomers and nature lovers of all ages.
“Les Musicales dans les Vignes” Festival
Château Gassier also hosts the "Les Musicales dans les Vignes" music festival… two exceptional musical evenings in a uniquely romantic setting. On 24th July 2023 the public are invited to an Argentinian Tango evening with Fernando Maguna on the bandoneon (a type of concertina), Diego Trosman on the guitar, and Mayra Morelli and Armando Coppa dancing. On the 23rd August the mood is New Orleans Jazz with the group "Les Vieux Galants". Both concerts start at 21.00. Tickets are on sale on the festival website "Les Musicales dans les Vignes" or available on the evening at the Château.
Sunset Aperitifs
Between June and August, Château Gassier invites you to partake in a cool, jazzy ambiance at sunset, sipping on a glass of rosé in a beautiful setting to a background of lounge music. Come and enjoy an aperitif on the 8th and 22nd June, the 13th and 27th July, and the 24th ad 31st August from 18.30 onwards. Entrance is 4.50€ and includes a glass of rosé. A Sunset Aperitif is perfect for unwinding at the end of the day whilst admiring the sun going down behind the hills, but also a great place to catch up with friends and family or for a romantic tete a tete, in a sociable, laid-back atmosphere.
Open-Air Cinema
And why not enjoy a film at Château Gassier? Open air screenings take place under the stars in the park of the Château. There is a wide selection of films for all tastes, and visitors can stretch out on floor cushions or loungers to watch the film in comfort, and enjoy an original outing with family or friends, in an exceptional setting. It has proved very popular and we strongly recommend booking in advance.
