An evening with your head in the stars at Château Gassier

Throughout the whole of summer, Château Gassier will be hosting evening stargazing events in the domaine’s gardens in order to introduce you to the wonders of our Universe! All ages are welcome to join us for a starlit experience on a warm summer night!

Whether with your family, friends or loved one, the evening promises the discovery of the celestial vault in the company of the Amateur Astronomers of Aix from the Vauvenargues Observatory. Sit back and relax in one of Château Gassier’s fuchsia pink deckchairs as you wait for the sun to set. A welcome glass of wine will be handed to you when you arrive and there will also be food trucks serving a variety of dishes, paired with the domaine’s wines of course. You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to tasty food and rosé wines! A fun and festive summer evening is on the cards for you with the chance to familiarize yourself with the Château Gassier range of wines!

Whilst you wait for the sun to set over the Sainte-Victoire mountain, a giant viewing screen will provide you with some interesting facts about the Universe so that you can truly make the most of your evening. As night falls, telescopes provided by the Amateur Astronomers of Aix from the Vauvenargues Observatory will take you on a journey of discovery through the stars that are lighting up the skies of Puyloubier this season as well as star clusters, nebulas and galaxies… These observations will be complemented by explanations on the fundamentals of astronomy and astrophysics. Expert astronomers will teach you how to use their state of the art telescopes for a closer look at the skies above the Sainte-Victoire valley and the stars that twinkle above our heads!
